The Commissioner's Cup marks the season's grand finale, crowning the champions of the U10-U14 divisions. Victorious teams from each division will advance to compete in the Area Z Championship, pending approval from the Region 24 Board.
How does our team qualify to participate in the Cup?
Referee Points and Parent Volunteer Hours. Teams accumulate Referee Points by having certified referee's complete assignments through the season. Teams with less than 100% completion maybe disqualified from participation.
How many Referee Points does my team need?
Points needed are:
U10- 25 pts.
U12- 30 pts.
U14- 35 pts.
Parent Volunteer Hours are also considered.
What if our team is undefeated but we do not have the Referee Points or we did not complete our Volunteer Hours, can we participate?
We are an all-volunteer organization that relies heavily on parent volunteers to keep our region running smoothly. The Commissioner's Cup is a way to recognize and reward the teams and parents who dedicate their time to refereeing games, assisted with program operations, and maintained our fields throughout the regular season. Their invaluable contributions are essential to the success of our region.
Unfortunately, teams will not be eligible to participate in postseason tournaments unless they have fulfilled their required Referee Points, please refer to the first question above.
This requirement underscores the importance of parent involvement in supporting our organization and ensuring that all teams have an opportunity to compete.
The good news is that it is never to late to complete Referee Points and Parent Volunteer Hours.
Is it too late to volunteer as a Referee or to complete Volunteer Hours to qualify for the Commissioner's Cup?
NO, IT IS NOT
Referee Points - your coach or division manager can provide you with the instructions to complete Referee Certification, there are still enough weeks in the season to accumulate the necessary points.
Parent Volunteer Hours - If you missed your teams scheduled date you can reschedule for another day. If your team has an upcoming scheduled day, make sure everyone participates
